Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly from Addis Ababa to Axum and meet your local guide and driver. Visit the Axum Obelisks (Stelae Park), Axum Museum, St. Mary of Zion Church, and enjoy a traditional coffee experience under a fig tree. Explore Axum Market and have a traditional Ethiopian lunch. In the afternoon, visit the King Kaleb and Gebre Meskel Tombs and the Queen of Sheba's Palace. Finish the day at Dungur Palace and enjoy sunset views before dinner. Overnight in Axum.
Travel to Yeha, approximately 53 km from Axum, to explore the ancient Yeha Temple, dating back to the 7th century BCE. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views toward Mount Adwa. Continue to the Gheralta Mountains and hike to Abuna Yemata Guh, known as the Church in the Sky, with assistance from your local guide. Admire the spectacular mountain scenery and historic church frescoes. Overnight in Hawzen.
Visit the impressive Abreha & Atsbeha Churches and Wukro Chirkos Church, important examples of Ethiopia's early Christian heritage. If time permits, explore Wukro Market. Continue to Mekele for lunch and some time to relax before taking the flight back to Addis Ababa.

- Within 72 hours of departure: No refund or travel credit.
- After the tour has started: Used or prepaid services are generally non-refundable.
