The itinerary may be modified according to the date, flight schedule and your interest.

                                                                 General  Itinerary

Gonder medieval castles

First Day:- according to the flight schedule from Addis Ababa, the driver or the Hotel shuttle bus will drop you off to the airport to fly to Gonder. When you arrived in Gondar airport, the driver and the guide will meet you and take you to the site. 

 You will visit The Gonder gibe castle. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. It was built in the early 17th century and in this mighty African empire different wars and conflict took  place including air raids during the World War 2. On your way out, you will visit the church of Debre Birhan Selassie. At the end of the tour, the driver will drop you off at the hotel.

The Simien Mountain National park

Second day:- Early in the Morning, after you have breakfast, the driver and the guide will come to the hotel and drive you to the Simien Mountain National park. You will visit the park with a four - wheel drive vehicle or by walking on foot. You will see waterfall, Ethiopian wolves, fascinating gelada monkeys and other wildlife. At the end of the tour you will drive back to your hotel.

Third & Fourth day:- Early in the morning after breakfast, the driver will come to the hotel and drive you to Lalibela and will arrive in the afternoon. You will visit with a tour guide a UNESCO World Heritage site:- rock-hewn church of Lalibela. It was built in the 12th century during king Lalibela. beside that you also visit the group of eleven monolithic structures carved into the stone of the mountainside. At the end of your visit you will be taken to your hotel. The next day you will have a flight to Axum.


Fifth  Day:-

You will arrive in Axum airport in the morning . The driver and the guide will be waiting for you and you will start your tour:- The northern stelae field is the famous historical sites in Axum. There were seven carved stones pillars originally and two of them have fallen down.  There are so many attractions to visit around Axum:- Queen of Sheba's Bath and Palace, St. Mary of Zion, Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion, The Ruins of Axum( Aksum), Yeha Archaeological site,Tombs of Kings Kaleb, etc..  overnight Axum, Yared zema

Sixth  Day: Gheralta

Head to the Gheralta Mountains and hike to the famous rock-hewn churches of Tigray. 

 Visit the churches of Abreha we Atsbeha and Wukro Chirkos. 

 Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the breathtaking scenery of the mountains. Overnight vision hotel.



seventh day: Hawzen

Explore the churches of Abuna Yemata Guh and Mariam Korkor. 

 Take a walk through the stunning landscape surrounding Hawzen. Overnight Vision Hotel.



Eighth Day: Wokro

 Visit wukro town, have lunch in a local house or restaurant and interact with the community. After lunch, visit Teka Tesfay Cluster of rock-hewn churches near Wukro. The Teka Tesfay Cluster comprises three churches, Petros & Paulos, Mikael Melehayzenghi, and Medhane Alem Adi Kesho. After  touring,  Drive to Mekele. Overnight in Mekele.  the next day you will take a flight back to Addis Ababa.

This will be the end of your Northern  sites visit.
